PromptMason keeps your prompts on your own computer. We don't collect, store, sell, or share your data, and neither the app nor the Chrome extension sends it anywhere.
The desktop app
- Your prompts, blocks, folders, variables, and settings are stored in a database file on your computer.
- The app has no accounts, no analytics, and no telemetry.
- The app runs a small server that listens only on your own computer (127.0.0.1). Other computers can't reach it, and apps on your computer need an access token you control to use it.
The Chrome extension
- The extension talks only to the PromptMason desktop app on the same computer, at
http://127.0.0.1. It makes no other network requests. - It saves its own settings in Chrome's local extension storage: the access token you paste in, the port, and view choices like your last filter and sort. These stay in your browser.
- It copies a prompt to your clipboard only when you click to copy it.
- It does not read the pages you visit, your browsing history, or anything you type into websites.
- It has no analytics, no tracking, and no ads.
